Merry Christmas Furnivall!

Thursday, 24th December 2015

2015 has been a very exciting and eventful year for FSC and, as it draws to a close, we'd like to take the opportunity to wish all our members a very happy Christmas and all the best for the coming year.

We hope you'll share 2016 with us, as we go from strength to strength and have lots of fun along the way! We have some key diary dates in the next couple of months which should have something for all tastes. The Dewar Shield races are on Sunday 7 February and we need your help to win back the shield! You can recover at our Annual Dinner on the following Saturday. In March we have the culmination of the Tideway Heads' season with the women's head on the 5th and the men's head on the 19th and we aim to have crews storming down the Tideway at both. Easter weekend at the end of March provides the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere in our club room - the best spot on the Thames to cheer on the University Boat Race crews on Saturday 27 March!

As ever, we'd like to thank all those who volunteer their time so generously to support the club: the management committee and rowing committee; our trustees Bertie, Ken and Val; our super volunteer coaches (Craig, Mark, Mike, Steve). And not forgetting those who do the little jobs, such as cleaning the pontoon or tidying the clubroom, that make our lovely club run like a well-oiled machine. You certainly deserve an extra mince pie and a glass of port!
