Pairs Head 2018

Friday, 12th October 2018

The final results are now out! Well done to all crews for solid results and for braving the less-than-ideal conditions. A summary of the Furnivall results is below and there are some photos in the Gallery. And of course thanks go to BBLRC for organising another succesful, albeit wet and bumpy, Pairs Head. See you back on the Tideway for the Fours Head on Saturday 3 November!

It's that time of the year again: first race of the season with the pairs and doubles on the Tideway for the Pairs Head!

There will be plenty of cheering opportunities since Furnivall have a bumper crop of crews racing this year. We also have five visiting crews boating with us so your help getting them boated and serving behind the bar would be much appreciated too.

The start time is 3pm, at Chiswick Bridge. Below is the list of our racing crews, with approximate time for them to pass the FSC balcony. The finish line is at Harrods, therefore your cheers will give that vital boost for the final push for the line!

Crew Number Category Approx time to pass FSC *
James Dickinson, Mike De Paoli 2 Op 2x Championship 15:10
Tim Hellier, Kit Lewis 195 Op MasC 2x Championship 15:30
Sue Ehr, Sol Peters 208 Mx MasB/C 2x 15:35
Meri Pesola, Jess Hartley 250 W 2- Championship 15:45
Christina Thorp, Sarah Mazza 403 W 2x Club 16:10
Alyson Martinovich, Lara Tandy 404 W 2x Club 16:10

* Very rough guess assuming an approximate 10 second gap between crews on the start line. Get to the balcony earlier than this if you want to be sure not to miss them!
