3 February: Results update

W.IM3 (Adam). Time: 16:09. Finished 162 overall, 11th of 24 in category.

W.IM3 (Dolivet). Time: 17:36. Finished 215 overall. 23rd of 24 in category.

IM3. Time: 15:44. Finished 134 overall. 16th of 18 in category.

Reflections on the race from women's squad captain Becca: "All the women enjoyed it, especially who was racing for the first time in 25 years and Gemma and Alyson who were racing for the very first time. We've a new-found motivation to push on and close the gap between other crews at the next few head races. It was hard work but great to be back on the water racing".

It's Quintin Head this weekend and we're very pleased to have three crews to cheer on! This event seems to get bigger every year, with 250 entries for 2017. It's a great opportunity to get some Tideway racing experience in the run-up to the big ones of WEHoRR and HoRR, not to mention the mighty Dewar Shield [1].

The FSC crews are listed below. We wish them lots of luck, especially the four guys and four girls who are racing for us for the first time. Indeed, Gemma and Alyson who are in their first ever race...enjoy!

The racing starts at 12:15pm at Hammersmith Bridge, giving the perfect opportunity to set the crews up with some big cheers right off the start line! If you've never watched a head race before, then the crews are started off one-by-one. That means our men's crew (#77) should pass FSC at about 12:30 and the women's crews at about 1pm.

Crews (stroke to bow):

IM3 (#77): Erika (cox), Martin C, Dom, Alfie, Luke, Craig, Pierre, Max, Darin

W.IM3 (Adam) (#181): Mazza (cox) Lucy, Jess, Christina, Sarah Moseley*, Kate, Gemma**, Hannah, Becca

W.IM3 (Dolivet) (#192): Lydia (cox), Christina R, Florence, Roma, Sue, Ciara*, Sadie, Jess F, Alyson**
