Remembrance 2018

Tuesday, 13th November 2018

On Sunday 11 December, 100 years since the First World War ended, we remembered those who lost their lives in the First World War including eleven of our members.

Henry led our tribute, part of the Blades of Remembrance event, where we joined with rowing clubs up and down the country to mark the passing of all those who have died in conflict.

Eleven of our club members held an oar for each of our members who died. We also displayed our three boats which have been named after Sam Rushworth, Jack Sewell and Harry Williams.
