Welcome to Furnivall
Furnivall Sculling Club is a small friendly rowing club based on the River Thames at Hammersmith in London. We welcome new members of all rowing and sculling abilities from complete beginner to senior level. The club consists of different groups catering for different levels of experience and commitment. So if you want to train for competitions, learn to row or scull or simply wish to paddle for fun we have something for you. Rowing aside, we also enjoy a healthy social life with regular club events throughout the year.
Tideway exposure for coxes and crews ahead of the HORR
Furnivall is offering opportunities for coxes and crews from clubs around the UK who are racing in the Women's or Men's Head of the River Race to come and get Tideway experience. Jump in one of our boats and get a feel for our river. If you have not had much exposure to the Thames, it is like nothing you have ever trained on before so this is a great opportunity for you. Run the course and familiarise yourself with the landmarks. Get a feel for the stream and the bends. Train alongside our VIIIs and push off each other.

Boating from Furnivall for Tideway head races
Get in touch if you would like to boat from us for Head of the River races. Our club is half way between the course at Hammersmith which means you don't have to travel far to get to the start or to get home! Friends and family of crews racing are also welcome to enjoy our facilities. Trailer parking available for Men's Head of the River.

Training camps
We host training camps at our club for crews who would like to spend a bit of time of the Tideway. We can offer you a driver and launch to guide you in your sessions (subject to availability). Hire our boats and equipment, and our club room and facilities.

Venue hire
The club room on the first floor can hold around 60 people standing and 30 seated informally.
It has a fully licensed bar and magnificent views over the river.
The room is available for private hire.

Furnivall Sculling Club is always recruiting for experienced rowers, scullers and coxes.
If you are new to London and want to continue your favourite sport then drop us a line. And if you have already joined a club on the Thames and you are not quite sure if it is the right club for you, it's not too late to join ours! Come along and try us out... Both men's and women's squads welcome new members.
