Head of the River 2023

HoRR day at Furnivall is always hectic with up to 40 visiting crews each year and this year was no different. Thank you to all our volunteers, crews and visitors who came to race, watch and help for creating a fantastic atmosphere at the club.

The men’s racing squad at Furnivall is growing at a rapid rate at the moment, with new members joining more experienced hands all the time. This is driving up the standard within the squad quickly and this was reflected in M1’s result at HoRR, where they came : 233 - up a huge 67 places on last year!

Our development men also had a brilliant race on the day, responding enthusiastically to the rousing cheers from the club balcony as they passed Furnivall. They came 296, a jump of 22 places from 2022.

Bravo to both crews! And congratulations to M1 who won the inaugural FSC Head Race crew video competition.
