Club Squad
Our Club Squads consist of experienced rowers who are passionate about the sport but prefer a more relaxed approach. While we’re a competitive group with plenty of rowing experience, we don’t focus predominantly on racing or intense competition. Instead, we aim to have fun, stay fit, and continue improving our skills at our own pace, without the pressure of regular race schedules.
This squad is ideal for athletes with solid sweep and sculling experience who want to keep rowing in a social, low-pressure environment. Whether you're an experienced rower who prefers a more balanced approach or someone who’s just looking to enjoy the sport without the commitment of training for races, Club Squad is the place for you.
Our sessions are focused on technique, fitness, and enjoying our time on the water. While racing isn’t our priority, we still enjoy the occasional local regatta or head race if the mood strikes us. The squad values camaraderie, personal development, and enjoying the time spent on the water.
Club Squad offers water sessions at the following time, with expectation that you do at least two of these per week, on average:
Mondays - Thursdays 18:00 - 19:30
Saturdays 08:15 - 09:45 and 09:45 - 11:15
Sundays 09:00 - 11:00
We keep things flexible and low-stress, so whether you want to join for a couple of sessions a week or more, it’s up to you! There are no formal requirements to join—just a good level of experience and a desire to enjoy rowing in a fun, non-competitive environment.
