Henley Women’s Regatta
On 19 June three Furnivall crews headed to Henley for Henley Women’s Regatta 2026, joining over 2,100 athletes competing in the three-day event.
The Regatta marked a significant milestone for the Club, with our W4x reaching the quarter-final stages — the Club’s strongest result in 15 years, and performance across all three entries demonstrating the progress made by both our senior women’s and development squads during the season!
In the Chairman’s Trophy for Aspirational Club Quads, Katie, Sophie, Rachel and Emily qualified in 8th position and, following an impressive 5-length win in their first round, secured a place in the quarter-final where they raced Mortlake Anglian and Alpha.
Competing in the Rosie Mayglothling Trophy for Aspirational Double Sculls, Penny and Bea delivered a strong performance in their time trial, finishing 18th out of 43 crews and narrowly missing out on qualification.
Our Development Coxed Four gained valuable racing experience, with Cecilia, Helina, Elinor, Jemima and Holly rounding off their first season at Furnivall with a confident performance in the time trial for the The Frank V Harry Cup.
Congratulations to the athletes and the coaching teams on a successful regatta!
Next up for the Women’s Squad is Henley Royal Regatta Qualifying Races, where they will be competing in the inaugural club quad event, The Danesfield Challenge Cup.
